Welcome to the French Nation of Islam

Veiled Woman Seeks French Presidency

So, politics, huh?  sucks the big one globally, really.

I don't really consider myself racist or bigotted, but when it comes to things to do with Muslims and Islam, I have to admit, since 9/11 and the war on terror, and the general climate of world politics, I have a problem. And it is likely one that will have me labelled racist or bigotted.  If you think this make me so, then so be it.  I don't care - maybe in this case I am.

In France, a veiled woman - as in a woman who chooses to wear the veil of her religious extremism, is running for president of the country.  Sure, it's a longshot and she likely won't be elected, but when you are running for a position of power based on a religious platform, you're just looking for trouble.  Or to be come trouble.   Let's face it - if someone who wants a position of power so she can lift the ban on face veils and burquas, how far is she from forcing all other women in the country to actually DON the veil or burqua?  How long before France really does become the French Nation of Islam?

What is with the world these days?  If those who practice Islam and want Sharia law to be condoned, then go live in the countries where that is acceptable and stop forcing Western society to bend to your will.   England now has "Sharia Controlled Zones" in areas outside London.  SHARIA FREAKING LAW!! Do you know what Sharia Law is?  It means you can kill your wife if you suspect her of having an affair.  Two women's testimony in any case equals that of ONE man.  If you think your daughter is being immodest or is being provocative in any way, or is dating someone you don't like (read: white and not Muslim), or is having pre-marital sex, you can kill her (this was done in Canada recently - the brother and father are being prosecuted)

Canadian Muslims have been trying to have Sharia Law recognized here in Canada!  Just check out this website and there is an article about it.  http://www.jihadwatch.org/

Within Sharia law, there are a group of "Haram" offenses which carry severe punishments. These include pre-marital sexual intercourse, sex by divorced persons, post-marital sex, adultery, false accusation of unlawful intercourse, drinking alcohol, theft, and highway robbery. Haram sexual offenses can carry a sentence of stoning to death or severe flogging.

Sharia law  has been adopted in various forms by many countries, ranging from a strict interpretation in Saudi Arabia and northern states of Nigeria, to a relatively liberal interpretation in much of Malaysia.

Sharia law is intended to be only applicable to Muslims. Christians and other non-Muslims are supposed to be exempt from the provisions of the law; this is a provision that is not universally followed..

Read that?!  NOT UNIVERSALLY FOLLOWED!!  Which means, if you are non-Muslim, but living in a Sharia Controlled Zone, you can, and will, be prosecuted under Sharia Law should the Muslims feel it appropriate.

Paris is the "City of Lights".  How long before it becomes the "city of the veiled woman" under the rule of the Veiled President (should she be elected)?

Yes, I cover my hair and dress modestly as part of my religion.  But my face is never covered.  The reason for this - it lets other Jewish men and women know that I am married and therefore I am 'off the market'.

I will say this though - I am for religious freedom but I don't agree with the veil - they may say that it promotes freedom, but I still don't agree.  However, I disagree with the decision France has made in banning the wearing of headscarves for Muslim girls in schoolrooms.  I cover my hair, I don't see why they can't.

Under a veil or a burqua, no one knows what is really going on under there.  Has anyone watched "Combat Hospital"?  In one episode, the doctor protagonist goes with one of the other doctors (who is an Afghan medic) to a Women's Clinic that they run on the down-low.  A man, dressed as a woman in a burqua pretending to have an ailment that 'she' doesn't want her husband to know she has sought treatment for (many of the women were abused and came to be checked over, on the show) comes in and shoots the doctor, the medic and one of the nurses from the base.  The nurse dies, the medic survives with a nice flesh wound, one doctor is injured and the doctor protagonist shoots the man dead (then has to bring him back to the base and save his life - turns out he's also the prisoner of war the FBI or CIA or some other secret organization had 'stolen' in a previous episode - but that's neither here nor there).

I believe if I can't see your eyes, I can't trust you.  That goes for anyone.  White, black, orange, purple. If I can't see your eyes, I don't, can't and won't trust you.  They say the eyes are "windows to the soul". I believe that.  I also believe that I can tell if someone is lying to me by looking into their eyes - shifty eyes - likely lying to me.

Maybe when it comes to Muslim extremism, Sharia Law and the fact that most governments seem to be afraid of the scary Islamics/Muslims, I am racist/bigotted.  I don't care. It's my opinion.  You don't like it, tough.
